2026 History Meets The Arts Event

Gettysburg, PA

Friday, April 10, 10:00am-6:00pm / Saturday, April 11, 10:00am-5:00pm

It was another great show this year at the 2026 “History Meets the Arts” event. A uniquely diverse collection of historical, wildlife and nostalgic art, along with unique handcrafted 18 century weapons and accoutrements. Truly the best wildlife and history related art show east of the Mississippi and I’m looking forward to next year.

August/2025 - Annual trip west:

Backpacked 45 miles in Yellowstone for the physical challenge (perhaps a little bit for my own sanity), and to capture images for my next body of work. The area we trekked was relatively flat until we reached the Lake Wapiti loops. Steamy, smelly at times, but beautiful in its own infinite, boiling way. The weather could not have been better, 70-80 degrees by day, 40-50 by night with a few scattered thunder storms thrown in adding to it the scent of wildflowers and sage piggy-backing on a continuous light breeze. With each step into the Yellowstone you can’t help but ponder the geological nightmare that took place there, worse even, the catastrophic event yet to come. End game… it was a truly unforgettable experience.

Quote of the month -May 2026:

I took a walk through the woods and came out taller than the trees.
